While I like this change, and think it belongs in the game, it further exacerbates the issue Bastion takes TOO MUCH damage. Even Bastion's best counters such as Genji, Widow and Pharah, amongst many others, will lose horribly, or just do nothing at all.īecause on top of the Ironclad ability, Bastion can also heal while taking damage. But with this change, Bastion, one of the easiest heroes in the game, will absolutely, uncontestedly, dominate the game.
OVERWATCH THE LAST BASTION DESTROYING TREES HOW TO
He may dominate in games with new players, but you quickly learn how to deal with him, and his 500 dps. This is the root of the problem, and if not alleviated, will destroy Overwatch competitively and casually, in a way that I can only compare to the R8 Revolver of CSGO.īastion at the current moment is quite a one trick hero: he is good at shredding shields and tanks, and not much else. This ability, while in sentry and tank form, takes 35% less damage from all sources. There was a extreme backlash in the community over that, yet next to no discussion about the impending doom that is PTR Bastion.įor those who don't know, Bastion's current build on the PTR gives him a passive ability, Ironclad.
Some people may remember the Genji meta, and how it was literally 1v1 between two Genjis, and the other 10 people were just the supporting cast.
After reading a post on the r/competitiveoverwatch subreddit, I feel that we as a community are not expressing how bad these Bastion changes would be.
